Using MonkeySolve

MonkeySolve is provided by the MonkeySolve team for personal speedcubing practice, recording solves, reviewing statistics, and training. You may use the core app as a guest. Optional Google sign-in enables cloud saves.

You must be able to enter into these terms under the laws that apply to you. If you need a parent or guardian’s permission, obtain it before using the service. Google sign-in is also subject to Google’s eligibility requirements and terms.

Your account

You are responsible for protecting your Google account and access to devices where you stay signed in. Use only an account you are authorized to use. Contact malloclabs@outlook.com if you believe someone has accessed your MonkeySolve account without permission.

Acceptable use

Use MonkeySolve lawfully and respect other people’s rights. You must not:

• Access another person’s account or data without permission, or attempt to bypass security or access controls.
• Disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, or make automated requests that place an unreasonable load on its infrastructure.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or use the service for unlawful activity.
• Misrepresent MonkeySolve practice results or scrambles as officially certified competition results or scrambles.

Your progress and content

You retain your rights to the solves, comments, profile information, and other content you provide. You give MonkeySolve permission to store, process, and transmit that content only as needed to provide the features you use, including cloud saving and restoring progress.

You are responsible for the content you enter and for keeping backups of important progress. Browser storage can be cleared or reach its limits, and cloud saves may be delayed or interrupted. Export your solves in Settings or download a backup from Account.

Our Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information and how to request account deletion.

Practice results and availability

MonkeySolve is a practice tool. Timer measurements, statistics, training guidance, and scrambles may contain errors or be affected by your device and browser. MonkeySolve does not replace the approved software or procedures required for official World Cube Association competitions and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the WCA.

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every saved record can be recovered.

Software and third-party services

MonkeySolve’s name, branding, and original materials remain the property of their respective owners. Third-party and open-source components remain governed by their own licenses; these terms do not limit rights granted by those licenses.

Google, Supabase, and Vercel provide services used by MonkeySolve. Your use of their services may be governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control their availability or practices.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MonkeySolve is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the MonkeySolve team is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data arising from use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

Ending use and account deletion

You may stop using MonkeySolve at any time. Signing out does not delete your account or cloud progress. To request account deletion, email malloclabs@outlook.com from the address associated with your account.

We may restrict or suspend account access when reasonably necessary to address a violation of these terms, a security threat, or a legal requirement. Where practicable and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Changes and questions

We may revise these terms as the service evolves. Updates will appear here with a revised date, and we will provide additional notice of material changes where required by law. Continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
